Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks a qualified Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to prepare and produce CSPs, maintain the sterile area and cleanroom, and follow all SOPs under supervision.

This role requires AZ/IV compounding experience, Texas licensure or PTCB certification, and 3+ years of technician experience, with shifts in a 1st or 2nd rotation and in-person work. The technician will perform aseptic manipulations, documentation, labeling, and packaging while adhering to cGMP and USP standards,

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Texas (TSBP) and/or PTCB certified.
• ACPE sterile products certification.
• IV compounding experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations (21 CFR Parts 210 & 211) and USP standards.
• Ability to work a full shift in a sterile environment (bunny suit, goggles).
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Required Experience: 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and aseptic manipulations in ISO 5 laminar flow hoods.
• Accurately compound sterile preparations per batch records.
• Operate sterile compounding equipment per SOPs.
• Perform sterile techniques (IV drug prep, syringes, pooling vials) with precision.
• Complete batch records using good documentation practices and verify expiration dates.
• Clean and maintain the compounding room and equipment daily per SOPs and regulations.
• Label and package finished products.
• Perform sterile compounding, production, documentation, cleaning and related duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with team to meet departmental goals while ensuring SOP compliance, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all policies, SOPs, aseptic techniques, and 503B regulatory requirements.
• Successfully complete all required annual competencies and skills validations.

Job Summary

The Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for mixing, preparing, and producing Compounded Sterile Products (CSPs), maintaining the sterile compounding area and cleanroom, and following all established SOPs under the direct supervision of a supervisor.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, Monday-Friday
• 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM-11:30 PM, Monday-Thursday
• Job Type: Full-time
• Work Location: In person

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform technical and aseptic manipulations in ISO 5 laminar flow hoods.
• Accurately compound sterile preparations in accordance with batch records.
• Operate sterile compounding equipment according to established policies and procedures.
• Perform sterile techniques, including injecting active drugs into sterile IV bags, filling syringes with medication, and pooling vials into sterile bags using a repeater pump.
• Complete batch records using good documentation practices and verify that medications and supplies are within expiration dates before use.
• Clean and maintain the compounding room and related equipment daily in accordance with SOPs and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Properly label and package finished products.
• Perform sterile compounding, production, documentation, cleaning, and other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Collaborate with team members to meet departmental goals while maintaining compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all applicable policies, SOPs, aseptic techniques, and regulatory requirements governing 503B sterile compounding operations.
• Successfully complete all required annual competencies and skills validations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Texas through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) and/or certified as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
• ACPE sterile products certification.
• IV compounding experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211, as well as applicable USP standards.
• Ability to work a full shift while wearing a bunny suit and goggles in a sterile environment.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Required Experience: 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
