Job summary

Primary Health Solutions in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team. Under the supervision of the pharmacy manager, you will assist with preparing and dispensing medications according to standard procedures.

Daily duties include prescription processing, data entry, customer service at the counter, assisting with immunizations under the pharmacist, and performing other assigned tasks. A trainee license or certification is accepted to start.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to enter data accurately and handle prescriptions with care.
  • Willingness to work under supervision and follow standard procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prescription processing and data entry under pharmacist supervision.
  • Customer service at the counter and over the phone.
  • Administer immunizations under pharmacist supervision where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pharmacy Technician Summary

The Pharmacy Technician performs, under supervision of the pharmacy manager, a variety of technical duties related to the preparing and dispensing of drugs according to standard procedures.

A Day in the Life
  • Prescription processing- perform technical duties of data entry, counting medication, and selling prescriptions to patients in accordance with the supervision of the pharmacist on duty
  • Customer service- give our patients excellent customer service on the phone and at the counter. Assist the pharmacy manager as needed to handle any customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Immunizations- give immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist on duty
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.
