Job summary

Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team of patient caregivers. You will assist pharmacists with prescription preparation, pricing, and restocking, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in a busy inpatient setting.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent; state certification/registration preferred. Hospital experience and PTCB certification are benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; registration as Pharmacy Technician with State Board preferred.
• Current State certification/registration with Board of Pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs.
• Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
• Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
• Refers physicians' calls and medical questions to the pharmacist.
• Supports the hospital's mission and guiding principles in daily practice.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician


• Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy preferred


• Hospital experience preferred


• National certification (PTCB) preferred
