Genoa Healthcare in Gainesville, FL is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and related clerical duties under a Pharmacist's supervision. You will fill prescription orders, manage inventory, and handle store receipts while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

The role requires a Florida Pharmacy Technician license, on-site work Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, and reliable transportation. Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus; 6+ months experience preferred.

Qualifications

• On-site at Gainesville, FL, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and enter data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Pharmacy Hours:

Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm with lunch from 1:00pm to 1:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida
• Ability to work onsite at 4300 SW 13th Street, Room 27, Gainesville, FL, 32608, Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
