Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures
• Prepare and dispense outpatient prescriptions, including refills and order entry
• Support pharmacists with medication processing, patient requests, and provider inquiries
• Monitor for potential drug interactions and report adverse drug reactions
• Participate in quality improvement activities, including inspections, error reporting, and workload documentation
• Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking medications and supplies
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to support patient care and treatment compliance
• Participate in peer review activities, case conferences, or research initiatives as required by the medical treatment facility

What You’ll Need

• Graduated from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by ASHP, a recognized pharmacy technician program (technical, hospital, or retail), or a formal U.S. Military medical services training program
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience after graduation
• Must practice within the scope of certification and applicable regulations
