Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with prescription processing, data entry, and medication preparation under supervision. You will engage with patients, answer questions, and coordinate with the pharmacist to ensure accurate and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older where required by state law.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure where applicable.
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems.
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

A Day In The Life

As a Pharmacy Technician, your day is focused on ensuring an accurate and efficient experience for patients while working under the supervision of a pharmacist. You assist with processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications within regulatory guidelines. Customer interaction is a regular part of the role, whether answering questions, processing transactions, or directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.

Another part of the role is maintaining organization and consistency within the pharmacy. You’ll manage records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace clean while following federal and state regulations. Between handling prescription workflows, maintaining compliance, and assisting with daily operations, the work stays steady making it a good fit for someone who values accuracy, structure, and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

• Customer Interaction Skills: Professional and courteous communication when assisting patients and handling inquiries
• Prescription Processing: Experience assisting with data entry, medication preparation, and order processing within regulatory limits

Requirements

• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required where applicable

• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
