Job summary

Albertsons Companies in California seeks a Pharmacy Technician to ensure safe, accurate medication dispensing and exceptional customer service. You will work under a licensed pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations and patient care.

You will handle prescription processing, verification, and patient education while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure accuracy and safety of medications.
  • Accurately process and fill prescriptions under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Maintain accuracy and safety of medications by counting, measuring, and labeling.
  • Assist in inventory management by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate dispensing.
  • Maintain patient records and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on proper medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Follow all state and federal pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on medications, procedures, and technologies in pharmacy.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or pharmacist-in-charge.
