Job summary

New England Life Care, Inc. in Concord, NH is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support sterile infusion preparations under supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist. Training provided in aseptic technique and home infusion pharmacy operations.

The role involves preparing IV admixtures, labeling and packaging, maintaining clean rooms, and assisting with QA activities. Requires a high school diploma, state licensure and PTCB within one year; strong math, communication, and computer skills are

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensure as Pharmacy Technician as required by state specific Board of Pharmacy regulations upon hire.
  • PTCB required within one year of hire date.
  • Ability to perform accurate dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions for all age populations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge / practical experience with microcomputer systems such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Dependability in attendance and job performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the pharmacist(s) in providing pharmaceutical care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.
  • Learning to identify and understand the variable dosage requirements of different age groups.
  • Learning to maintain the proper aseptic technique within the LAFW/BSC in accordance to local, state and federal regulations.
  • Accurately preparing intravenous solutions and admixtures in a timely manner according to NELC policies and procedures.
  • Accurately labeling, packaging and storing products prior to shipment to patients.
  • Maintaining pharmacy and clean rooms in a clean, organized and well stocked manner according to NELC policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Assurance activities including but not limited to temperature monitoring of product environment.
  • Both positions also require the lifting of 35-pound boxes of fluid to supply the needs of the clean room compounding processes.
  • The Pharmacy Technician is also primarily responsible for restocking inventory (in the form of 35-pound boxes) as it is delivered on pallets.
  • Assisting in the completion of quarterly inventory counts as required.
  • Following NELC policies and procedures in the normal conduction of company business.
  • Other duties / projects assigned by direct supervisor.

We have full-time Pharmacy Technician positions available.These positions would train you on the nuances of being a Pharmacy Technician within a Home Infusion Pharmacy, which is less customer service centric than traditional retail pharmacies, allows you to only work at one location, offers a more stable schedule, and has room for advancement. We also guarantee 40 hours per week.

Job Summary : Under the supervision and direction of a Licensed Pharmacist, the person in this position will first be trained to be responsible for the preparation of sterile infusion medications using aseptic technique and assisting the pharmacist in the operational tasks of conducting a home infusion pharmacy.

Primary Duties will include:

Requirements:

  • PTCB required within one year of hire date. There is a raise if acquired within the first six months.
  • Ability to perform accurate dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions for all age populations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and customers

  • Knowledge / practical experience with microcomputer systems such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Dependability in attendance and job performance
Preferred Experience:
  • One (1) year (minimum) experience in IV admixtures using an IV laminar flow hood in hospital or homecare setting preferred, but not mandatory.
