Job summary

Genoa Healthcare in Colorado Springs seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will dispense prescriptions, assist with clerical tasks, and help maintain inventory.

The role involves delivering to facilities as needed and working a 40-hour week with Mon-Fri 8:00am–6:00pm and Sat 9:00am–1:00pm. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Colorado Pharmacy Technician license (or provisional)
• Reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
• Ability to use own car for deliveries as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records
• Assists Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and compliance with federal/state requirements
• Performs clerical duties related to the department
• Communicates professionally (verbal and written)
• Deliveries to facilities as needed
• Other duties as assigned

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours:

The pharmacy will be open Monday-Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm MST and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm MST. We will need you to being open to be able to work 40 hours during this time frame. The Saturday schedule will rotate between you and the other techs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Deliveries to facilities as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Colorado or the Pharmacy Technician Provisional License in the state of Colorado
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
• Ability to use your own car to make deliveries as business needs arise

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
