Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. Primary duties include dispensing prescriptions and performing clerical tasks under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The role requires an active NJ Pharmacy Technician license and at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience. Onsite work at Bridgewater, NJ with specific hours and benefits and a comprehensive program accompany the opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in New Jersey (NJ)
  • 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience (data entry, resolving insurance issues, etc.)
  • Onsite work at 500 N Bridge St., Suite 104A, Bridgewater, NJ with specified hours

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

We seek a Pharmacy Technician

to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours:

Mondays 8:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30am-5:00pm and Fridays from 8:30am-4:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm

Location:

500 N Bridge St., Suite 104A, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 (located within the Richard Hall Health & Wellness Center)

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of New Jersey
  • 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience (data entry, resolving insurance issues, etc.)
  • Ability to work onsite at 500 N Bridge St., Suite 104A, Bridgewater, NJ, Mondays 8:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30am-5:00pm and Fridays from 8:30am-4:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with general computer and Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual in Spanish
Soft Skills:
  • Oral and written communication skills
