Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Blythe, CA is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with dispensing, prescriptions, and customer service. The role requires CA registration and a CA-recognized certification, plus at least one year of related experience.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for 40 hours weekly, with eligibility for standard benefits and referral rewards. The position offers competitive pay at $22.10 per hour, plus benefits including health/dental/vision

Qualifications

  • PTCB or NHA certification and CA tech registration are required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one year experience as Pharmacy Technician.
  • Copies of PSV and current required certifications and compliance documents must be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
  • Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
  • Measure, count, label, and package medications per procedures.
  • Maintain medication inventory and restock as needed.
  • Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
  • Ensure proper storage and expiration control of medications.
  • Provide courteous customer service while directing questions to the pharmacist.
  • Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

Education

PTCB or NHA certification; CA technician registration; High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year experience as Pharmacy Tech; PSV from licensing board; Current certifications/compliance documents (BLS, N95, TB test)

Pharmacy Technician Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
  • Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
  • Measure, count, label, and package medications according to established procedures.
  • Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies as needed.
  • Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
  • Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.
  • Provide courteous customer service while directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
  • Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PTCB or NHA certification is required as well as technician registration with the state of CA
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have minimum of one (1) year related work experience as Pharmacy Tech
  • Additional certifications may be required.
  • Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
