Job summary

Genoa Healthcare seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and clerical work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Hours vary Mon-Fri with some late days; location is Bay Shore, NY.

Responsibilities include customer service, inventory management, and processing wholesale orders, with adherence to federal/state regulations. Strong communication and data entry skills are required.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and valid US driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to use own car to make deliveries when needed.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.

• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.

• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours: Hours are Monday and Wednesday from 8:30am-5:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am-6:00pm and Friday from 8:30am-3:00pm, daily lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
