Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and clerical tasks in our Athol, MA location. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm EST, with a lunch break 12:30pm–1:00pm.

Work under a Registered Pharmacist to ensure accurate prescription processing, inventory control, and adherence to state and federal regulations. Benefits and opportunities accompany a collaborative care team environment.

Qualifications

• Active MA Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred; data entry experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide dispensing support under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification.
• Orders, receives and stores pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records.
• Assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Carry out clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate effectively with professional verbal and written skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek aPharmacy Technicianto support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm EST with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm EST

Location: 2033 Main St., Suite 2, Room P, Athol, MA 01331. They are located inside CSO.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
