Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy in Albany, OR. You will dispense prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and perform necessary clerical duties.

Hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a lunch break. Primary responsibilities include customer service, processing orders, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Oregon (must).
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
  • Fills prescription orders and verifies under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with laws.
  • Performs clerical duties related to the department.
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours: 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
