University of Miami is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Technician to support the campus health system. The role involves medication preparation, inventory management, prescription processing, and assisting patients with inquiries within a university pharmacy setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, Florida DOH registration, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. This is a temporary-intermittent, on-site role within UHealth facilities.

• Establishes and maintains patient profiles and records.
• Transfers medication to sterile and disposable syringes using aseptic techniques.
• Monitors robotic machines that dispense medicine into containers.
• Prepares and processes medical insurance claim forms.
• Adheres to University policies and safeguards assets.

3. Receives written prescription, fills prescriptions or refill requests, and verifies that information is complete and accurate.
4. Answers telephones and responds to questions or requests.
5. Fills bottles with prescribed medications, and types and affixes labels.
6. Assists customers by answering simple questions, locating items, and referring them to the appropriate staff.
7. Establishes and maintains patient profiles and records.
8. Transfers medication from vials to the appropriate number of sterile and disposable syringes using aseptic techniques.
9. Supplies and monitors robotic machines that dispense medicine into containers.
10. Prepares and processes medical insurance claim forms and handles insurance claim records.
11. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
