Job summary

Meijer is seeking a detail-oriented pharmacy team member to join our Grand Rapids location. You will retrieve medications, input prescription data, and prepare labels while ensuring accurate insurance adjudication and order processing.

You will also handle inventory, stocking, and ongoing patient-focused services, emphasizing confidentiality and professional conduct in a fast-paced retail setting. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient typing and legible handwriting.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
