Job summary

Ralph’s in California is hiring a pharmacy clerk to deliver exceptional customer service, assist pharmacists, and manage daily front-end duties in a fast-paced store environment.

You will handle reception, data entry, product dispensing, HIPAA compliance, and cash register procedures, while upholding Kroger's values of respect, safety and community care. Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma, be at least 18, and be comfortable handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
• Desireable experience in pharmacy or retail pharmacy environment.
• Familiarity with EPRN or related systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations and report illegal activity.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist in ordering with wholesalers and manage inventory control.
• Follow guidelines on medication, device, and supply ordering and handling.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and customer areas.
• Prepare products and complete billing procedures for customers.
• Answer phones, triage inquiries, and provide information as appropriate.
• Adhere to cashier policies and operate POS systems securely.
• Provide accurate reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing support.
• Assist pharmacists with duties not requiring professional judgment.
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and company privacy rules.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and store campaigns.
• Handle legend orders and central fill deliveries.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
• Interact with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults empathetically.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
