Job summary

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team under the direction of a pharmacist.

Duties include dispensing medications, sterile admixture, repackaging, inventory management, Pyxis cabinet use, clerical tasks, ordering and 340B support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of office procedures and customer service normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Full Michigan pharmacy tech licensure preferred.
• If not currently licensed as a pharmacy tech in the state of Michigan, a temporary Michigan tech license will be applied for upon hire and full licensure obtained within one year.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Ability to accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing medications accurately and timely under the direction of a pharmacist.
• Perform sterile admixing and repackaging.
• Inventory management, use of Pyxis cabinets, clerical duties, ordering, and 340B support.
