Job summary

Food City is seeking a Pharmacy team member to provide courteous service, process prescriptions, gather patient information, enter data, stock OTC products, and assist customers with health-related needs in our Kentucky stores.

The role supports the pharmacy team, handles insurance claims, answers calls, maintains a clean department, and operates the cash register while helping ensure accurate and timely medication distribution.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to customers at all times.
• Answer telephone calls and questions not requiring a pharmacist's expertise.
• Receive written prescriptions or telephone refill requests.
• Gather information needed to prepare prescriptions.
• Record information needed before prescriptions can be dispensed.
• Store prescription forms after dispensing.
• Enter data into computer.
• Stock over-the-counter products.
• Place completed prescriptions in the pick-up area.
• Assist in preparing insurance claims and verify payments.
• Help customers find over-the-counter products.
• Maintain a clean department and work area.
• Assist in stocking pharmacy department supplies.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
• Operate cash register.
