Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The role involves dispensing medications, inputting prescription data, handling insurance claims, and ensuring a high level of patient care and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will maintain accuracy, promote clinical services, and support pharmacy initiatives. A strong emphasis on customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills is required, with experience in a Retail/Community setting and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medication from inventory.
• Input customer and prescription information in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritize workload.
• Use effective communication and be an agent of change.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
