Job summary

Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho, is seeking a Pharmacy Tech for a full-time position (30-40 hours/week) under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. The role supports dispensing medications and recording transactions according to Idaho Board of Pharmacy rules.

You will assist the pharmacist with IV technique yearly training, oversee the Pyxis dispensing program, maintain ER drug inventory, and prepare the state's narcotic report monthly if needed. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, perform responsibilities authorized by Idaho Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Assist pharmacist in recording and dispensing medications.
• Show competency on IV technique yearly.
• Oversee Pyxis program.
• Timely and accurately document all pharmacy transactions.
• Prepare IV syringes following proper procedure.
• Maintain Emergency Room drug inventory and supplies.
• Prepare State narcotic report monthly if needed.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, perform daily pharmacy tasks per Idaho Board rules.
• Assist pharmacist with recording and dispensing medications.
• Demonstrate yearly competency in IV techniques.
• Oversee the Pyxis dispensing system.
• Document all pharmacy transactions accurately and on time.
• Prepare IV syringes following proper procedures.
• Maintain ER drug inventory and supplies.
• Prepare narcotic report monthly if required.
