Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo is seeking a Pharmacy Technician IV certified to support the pharmacy team under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will assist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and records in accordance with procedures and state/federal regulations.

This role emphasizes teamwork with pharmacists, nursing, and medical staff to ensure safe, accurate medication administration.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy prior to start of employment.
• 1-2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalency.
• Demonstrates high level of organizational skills.
• Demonstrates independent functioning.

Position: Pharmacy Tech / IV Certified / Sign On Bonus Available

POSITION SUMMARY: Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Participates with pharmacists, nursing, and medical staff to provide safe, accurate and timely medicatin administration.
