Job summary

IU Health in Indiana is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will support the pharmacy department under supervision, handling inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, and medication histories.

The role requires strong math skills, effective communication, and compliance with licensing requirements. Candidates with Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or certification are encouraged to apply; experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Proficient typing and using Microsoft Office applications.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires effective customer service skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy department in inventory, preparation, distribution, and compounding.
• Process medication orders, answer calls, and prepare meds for pharmacist check.
• Minimize medication errors through standard policies and procedures.
• Maintain records and assist with deliveries and stocking.
• Assist in bulk compounding and preparation of I.V. solutions.
