Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health in Tennessee seeks a Technician-Pharmacy II PRN II to support pharmacist-led patient care. You will prioritize, assemble and dispense medications, assist with sterile preparations, and help stock patient care areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPHT or state registration, and experience with automated pharmacy equipment; hospital experience is preferred. This PRN position offers hands-on responsibilities and opportunities to learn in a busy hospital

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred.
CPHT or state pharmacy registration required in the state of work.
Experience with automated pharmacy equipment.
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Technician training program/academy.

Responsibilities

Procures, handles, prepares, distributes, charges/credits and disposes of medications safely.
Assists pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients.
Participates in inventory management.
Uses and maintains automation/equipment.
Assists the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients.
Provides education/training.
Processes and prepares sterile products for dispensing.
Contributes to goals, programs and report cards for the unit and entity.
