The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy functions in Houston, TX. This role requires a CPhT in good standing and entails entering physician orders, medication strengths, and routes with precision.

You will assist patients with enrolling in Patient Assistance Programs, manage unit-dose dispensing, and perform monthly unit inspections while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Strong accuracy in entering prescription details and medication strength.
• Experience supporting patient assistance program enrollment is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with enrolling in Patient Assistance Programs to obtain medications.
• Prepare prescriptions and maintain accurate medication orders.
• Pre-pack supplies, generate reports, and maintain inventory levels.
• Conduct monthly unit inspections to identify outdated supplies.
• Order pharmaceuticals and supplies to optimize cost and contract compliance.
• Comply with agency education and licensure requirements.
• Enter patient information into the pharmacy system and ensure correct medication details.
• Knowledgeable about CPEP formulary to assist physicians and nurses with medication availability and strengths.
• Operate Pyxis Med Station: pull and fill unit-dose medications and reconcile reports.
