JobRx, Inc. is looking for a qualified Pharmacy Technician II to support Pharmacists in delivering pharmacy services. Key responsibilities include preparing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring accuracy in operations.

They work under the supervision of the pharmacist to ensure the safe running of the pharmacy and make sure patients get the most from their medicines. Pharmacy technicians prepare medicines and other healthcare products. They also play an active role in offering support and guidance to patients and the public.
The Certified Pharmacy Technician II works under the lead supervision of a Pharmacist to provide services to Pharmacy customers. The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care. Specific job duties and responsibilities vary based on the location and type of pharmacy. Routinely interacts with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, nursing staff and other hospital staff, Physicians, patients, customers, vendors, and drug company representatives.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Successful completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred. Successful completion of Pharmacy Service Line competencies within 6 months of hire.
Experience: Previous pharmacy work experience is preferred. One year of pharmacy experience required for Registrar I.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals required. Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician is required within 9 months of hire.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to maintain familiarity with a large number (1000-2000) of medications and focused on attention to detail/accuracy. Must be customer service oriented. Requires knowledge and use of general office equipment and procedures, including computer/keyboard. Must be able to solve simple mathematical and logistical problems in the work environment. Must be able to effectively budget time, work efficiently and accurately, and follow procedures with minimum supervision. All Technicians must complete Orientation Competencies.
