Job summary

Vassar Brothers Medical Center Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to assist pharmacists with medication formulation, preparation, dispensing, and storage in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role requires a High School Diploma, active PTCB certification, and NY Board of Pharmacy registration; CT license is needed for CT work. Strong inventory, EMR navigation, and adherence to USP standards are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PTCB Certification (active).
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with active license in NY (and CT if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in formulation, preparation, dispensing, and storage of medications.
• Maintain medication and supply inventory.
• Handle controlled medications following regulations.
• Triage calls and refer medication questions to pharmacist.
• Navigate EMR related to medications, charges, and missing meds.
• Comply with USP 795/797 for sterile and non-sterile compounding.
