East Alabama Medical Center seeks a Pharmacy Technician to perform duties related to preparing and dispensing medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help maintain inventory, restock medications, and remove outdated items while delivering excellent service to physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork within the pharmacy department and commitment to quality patient care in a hospital environment.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of hospital pharmacy experience, or 2 years in a hospital inpatient setting, or at least 4 years of retail pharmacy experience (FTE).
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or graduate from an accredited technician program with CPhT status; certification must be maintained.
• Preferred CSPT certification is a plus.
• Preferred experience includes two years of hospital inpatient experience and compounded sterile preparation.

• POSITION SUMMARY

  
  
  • The pharmacy technician performs a variety of duties related to the preparing and dispensing of medications according to standard procedure under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide quality patient care. Maintain inventory by verifying receipt, restocking and removing outdated medications. Provide excellent customer service to physicians, nurses and other hospital staff members. Displays commitment to the pharmacy department by working collaboratively with team members.

  • Minimum Education

    
    
    • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum Experience

    
    
    • One year of experience in hospital pharmacy at EAMC or 2 years of experience in a hospital inpatient setting or at least 4 years of retail pharmacy experience. (Full time equivalents)

  • Required Registration/License/Certification

    
    
    • Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or graduate from an accredited pharmacy technician training program with CPhT status.
    • Must maintain certification.
