Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support the pharmacy team in medication distribution and IV compounding. The entry-level technician will work under the supervision of a Pharmacist to enhance hospital-wide patient care.

Must hold an active Arkansas Pharmacy Technician license; PTCB certification is preferred. Prior technician experience or graduation from an accredited program is required, with the ability to meet performance standards of a Pharmacy Technician I.

Qualifications

• Active license required by Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy in good standing.
• PTCB certification preferred but not required.
• Recent Pharmacy Technician experience or graduate of accredited program.
• Must be able to meet/exceed performance standards of a Pharmacy Technician I.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist in medication distribution functions.
• Assist with IV compounding and related duties to support patient care.

Job description

The Pharmacy Technician II is licensed to practice as a Pharmacy Technician and is registered with the State Board of Pharmacy in Arkansas. This entry level technician will assist the Pharmacist in medication distribution functions, IV compounding, and other duties to enhance hospital-wide patient care.

Other Information

• Must have an active Pharmacy Technician License with State Board of Pharmacy in Arkansas (in good standing)
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification (Preferred)
• Pharmacy technician work experience within the past year or is a graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
• Able to meet or exceed all performance standards of a Pharmacy Technician I.
