Job summary

Baptist Health in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Tech to join the inpatient pharmacy team. You will support the distribution of medications and assist the department's professional staff under direct supervision.

This role requires KY Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of hire, national certification, and pharmacy work experience preferred. Schedule features a 7-on/7-off rotation with 11-hour shifts from 1:30 PM to 1:00 AM, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire date if new registrant; must have registration upon hire if previously registered.
• Nationally certified as a pharmacy technician.
• Pharmacy work experience preferred.

Job Description

• Pharmacy Tech II is a certified pharmacy technician position who supports pharmacy services by assembling and participating in the distribution of medications. A pharmacy technician II will need certification by a nationally recognized certification board. This position will assist the department's professional staff, under direct supervision, in numerous aspects of ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and monitoring medication use.

Requirements/Preferred Qualifications

• Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals), within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire.
• Nationally certified as a pharmacy technician.
• Pharmacy work experience preferred.
