Qualifications

• Knowledge: Pharmacy terminology, DEA rules, and BOP/Health Dept guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and prepares medication orders, fills carts, and handles controlled substances per policy.
• Operates automation, inventory systems, labeling, and charge entry; processes payments as needed.
• Maintains logs, accuracy checks, and regulatory documentation for quality assurance.
• Assists with training and mentorship of new pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Delivers timely medications; supports sterile compounding per policy where applicable.
