Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in California to perform dispensing support under pharmacist supervision. The role includes accurate counting, labeling, and packaging of medications, along with maintaining clean work areas and assisting with restocking.

A High School diploma or GED is required, and an active CA pharmacy technician license with clean record is essential. Prior pick/pack/ship experience is preferred, with on-site work expectations.

Job Responsibilities

• Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescription, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with the specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
• Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
• Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices.
• Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant (packer) as needed.
• Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed.
• Responsible for cleaning all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas.
• center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.

Skills

• Three months of work experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Prefer three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.

Education / Experience

• Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
• Active CA pharm tech license (with no infractions or violations)
