Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Virginia Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Current PTCB certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred.

• Ability to multi-task in a versatile environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist to provide drug distribution and clinical services to patients in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
• Operate the robotic dispensing system and troubleshoot; prepare medications for delivery to automated dispensing machines.
• Package unit dose medications and restock dispensing machines.
• Prepare sterile products using aseptic technique and document processes.
• Assist in preparation of total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions.
• Prepare cytotoxic agents in compliance with safety procedures.
• Handle hazardous materials in compliance with safety procedures.
• Enter charges and credits into pharmacy computer system.
• Assist in orienting and training technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
