Job summary

National Emergency Management and Response seeks a Pharmacy Technician with a Nationally accredited certification (PTCB or ExCPT) and at least 3 years of CPhT experience in hospital or community settings. The role requires strong compliance with EMS policies and the ability to work across deployment environments.

You will manage medication inventory, MAR development, and coordination with healthcare providers, ensuring safe storage, accurate documentation, and timely medication administration

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Nationally accredited Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
• Current certification and eligible to work nationwide.
• 3 years CPhT experience in hospital or community pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
• Execute assigned pharmacy services for the service population as prescribed by an advanced practice provider or physician and apply best practice guidelines to include medication inventory, storage, distribution, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with health care providers regarding care for service population and act as a liaison between pharmacy and medical staff.
• Maintain active medication and supply inventory, ensure items are within date and properly stored.
• Dispose of unused and expired medications according to established protocols.
• Maintain electronic/paper medical health care records as determined by event/deployment.
• Develop and maintain a MAR for each client and assist in daily MAR audits.
• Provide proof of valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing (subject to review annually).
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong computer literacy.
