Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric, with a strong emphasis on customer care and relationship building. The Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice position offers hands-on training, a path to PTCB certification, and support to develop skills using the latest pharmacy technology.

Apprentices learn under supervision, work with pharmacy systems, process prescriptions, and help maintain inventory while delivering excellent service to patients and customers

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Good computer skills and basic store inventory knowledge.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
Assist with and coach technicians in pharmacy system operation and cash handling.
Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Support inventory management and maintain stock levels.
