Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be front and center with customers, building strong patient relationships while utilizing the latest technology to support the pharmacy team.

The program offers an “earn while you learn” apprenticeship recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor, guiding you toward PTCB certification and maintaining high skills in the pharmacy care industry.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and support cashiers in the pharmacy area.
Deliver a friendly, distinctive customer experience.
Enter patient and drug information and ensure accuracy; check for interactions.
