Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the front lines of patient care, moving beyond a simple transaction-based role. You will interact with customers, learn through the Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP & DOL, and work toward becoming a certified pharmacy technician while building essential patient relationships.

The role emphasizes training, hands-on experience, and teamwork in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription counting, measuring and weighing.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in prescription processing and customer service.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and stocking of pharmaceuticals.
• Adhere to all company policies and pharmacy code of conduct.
