Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
• PTCB Certification required.
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding a plus).
• Previous online teaching experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using MS Office, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, etc.

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program.
• Host weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course.
• Maintain a flexible schedule with office hours and 1:1 meetings for student support.
• Provide timely feedback on quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.
• Conduct outreach to engage at‑risk students.
• Maintain accurate records and submit final grades per policy.
• Participate in meetings and professional development.

Position Summary

Pharmacy Technician Instructor: As a Pharmacy Tech Instructor, you’ll support Bryan University’s mission to help our students liberate their innate greatness by providing an educational experience where each student has the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual and emotional growth. We are specifically seeking candidates with recent experience working as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Previous teaching experience is great but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician Instructor

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program
• Host weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course
• Maintain a flexible schedule that accommodates office hours and 1:1 meetings to provide an excellent student experience
• Provide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects
• Conduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk students
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance and submit final grades in accordance with university policy
• Actively participate in meetings, training programs, and professional development as required
• Remain current with developments within the area of instructional responsibility
• Other duties as required by the faculty job description, SOPs, and other university policies

Position Requirements of the Pharmacy Technician Instructor

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
• PTCB Certification required
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding a plus)
• Previous experience teaching online is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills in both an individual and group setting
• Work effectively as a team member to ensure that departmental goals are met
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, etc.
