Ridley's Family Markets, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in daily operations, provide patient counseling, assist with prescription transfers, and ensure compliant customer service under federal and state laws.

Responsibilities include filling prescriptions, answering calls, maintaining records for controlled substances, auditing CIIs, stocking, training others, and adhering to DAS and dress code; must complete required trainings (HIPAA, I-pledge, etc.).

  • Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (HIPAA, Methamphetamine, FWA, I-pledge, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Fills prescriptions in compliance with laws and company policies; retrieves products; counts, pours or measures; labels containers.
  • Responds to telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors within legal scope.
  • Communicates with peers, managers, physicians, and customers in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Assists with monthly CII audits.
  • Maintains correct procedures for billing, filling, and dispensing products.
  • Implements company policies and enforces standards, including legal regulations.
  • Maintains all state and federal records for controlled substances.
  • Stocks pharmacy orders to bay locations.
  • Helps train other pharmacy technicians and adheres to state regulations regarding training and licensure.
  • Maintains inventory levels, rotates stock, and uses RX return process.
  • Adheres to Department Appearance Standards (DAS) and dress code.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, Store Director, Pharmacy Operations Manager, Corporate Management.
  • Participates in all company sponsored programs.

Description

PURPOSE

Assist the Pharmacist in the operations of the pharmacy; provide patient counseling, assist with prescription transfers, provide other prescription products, and appropriate customer service in compliance with federal and state laws and store policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures regarding the sale of pharmaceuticals including retrieves the product(s); counts; pours or measures out the required quantity according to established company methods and procedures; and affixes the label permanently to the container.
  2. Responds to telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors, within the scope of the law and defers to the pharmacist when necessary.
  3. Communicates and cooperates with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians, and customers in all pharmacy related areas in a courteous and professional manner in accordance with customer service guidelines.
  4. Assists with monthly CII audits.
  5. Understands correct procedures for billing, filling, and dispensing products.
  6. Ensures timely implementation of company policies, procedures, and programs; and enforces professional and operational standards, including compliance with legal regulations.
  7. Maintains all state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
  8. Stocks pharmacy product orders to specific bay locations.
  9. Helps train other pharmacy technicians and abides by state regulations regarding technician training and licensure.
  10. Maintains inventory levels to company goals, rotates stock, and utilizes RX return process.
  11. Adheres to Department Appearance Standards (DAS) and dress code standards.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, Store Director, Pharmacy Operations Manager, Corporate Management.
  13. Participates in all company sponsored programs.
