Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a daytime, full-time Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and general pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision.

The ideal candidate will be a registered pharmacy technician with a commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and accurate medication compounding, including sterile IV preparations. This role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and professional development within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy (must be attained within 90 days of employment).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
• Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality.
• Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.
