Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking a licensed pharmacy professional to join our team in Ohio. The role focuses on patient care, accurate prescription processing, and customer service at various pharmacy service points.

You will input prescription and customer data, handle insurance claims, stock medications, and maintain a clean, compliant pharmacy environment while upholding patient confidentiality and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community Practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stock shelves.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain a clean, orderly pharmacy environment and professional appearance.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

What You'll be Doing:

• Level 2
• Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
