CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE seeks a Pharmacy Tech to support pharmacists in accurate preparation and dispensing of medications. You will process prescriptions, manage inventory, and assist patients with inquiries while ensuring safety and compliance.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• NE Pharmacy Technician License and Pharmacy Tech Certification, if indicated.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CHI Health Good Samaritan policies and regulatory requirements.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of day-to-day operations.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels.
• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains QA documentation.
• Trained in IV admixture preparation including regulatory requirements and handling of hazardous/chemotherapy meds if applicable.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Tech, you will provide essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Every day you will expertly process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and meticulously assist patients with their inquiries, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels
• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Pharmacy Technician License in the State of NE AND Pharmacy Tech Certification, if indicated
