Job summary

Albertsons Companies offers a pharmacy internship for full-time students to gain hands-on practice in patient counseling, immunization, MTM, and disease state management in a progressive retail setting.

You will perform duties under a licensed pharmacist, help fill prescriptions, provide guidance to customers, and support clinical services while learning company initiatives to enhance pharmacy profitability.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Must hold a valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
• Ability to readily and positively adapt to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated pharmacist preceptor.
• Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Offers advice and consultation to customers regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and patient health concerns.
• Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
• Actively participates in clinical services
