Job summary

Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is seeking a pharmacy student intern for a part-time, PRN role. You will assist the pharmacy team with dispensing, delivering, stocking and compounding under supervision.

You will review and document Prior to Admission medications within 24 hours of admission, clarify with patients when possible, and support clinical tasks assigned by a pharmacist. Join a collaborative team that values communication, leadership, and flexible support while you advance your pharmacy

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy School program.
• Must have met all the requirements as a P2 student.
• Preferred experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience.
• Requires valid Pharmacy Intern Permit with State Board of Pharmacy in the state of practice and in good standing.
• Strong communication, self-motivating, leadership, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing, delivering, stocking, compounding, and returning medications under supervision.
• Review, clarify, document, and verify Prior to Admission medications within 24 hours of admission with the patient when possible.
• Assist in projects and clinical tasks appropriate for knowledge base; communicate effectively with coworkers.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd)

Shift: Part Time, PRN (as needed)

Overview:

Responsible for pharmacy technician tasks including dispensing, delivering, stocking, compounding, and returning medications. Also, responsible for medication history tasks including review, clarify, document, and verify with the patient if possible, their Prior to Admission medications within 24 hours of admission to the hospital. Performs related duties as assigned. Displays leadership skills by completing tasks to highest standard and assisting in other areas as possible. Communicates well with coworkers to provide optimal care to patients. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, will work on projects and clinical tasks appropriate for knowledge base.Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:
