Job summary
Albertsons Companies in New Mexico is seeking a Pharmacy Student Intern to support patient care and pharmacy operations. You’ll gain hands-on experience in counseling, OTC medications, immunizations, MTM, and disease state management under a licensed pharmacist.
Responsibilities include filling prescriptions under supervision, advising customers, and supporting clinical services while developing professional skills in a progressive community pharmacy setting.
Qualifications
- Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team while supporting pharmacy operations.
- Customer service focused with clear communication to patients and health care professionals.
- Willingness to learn and apply pharmacist-guided clinical services and MTM.
Responsibilities
- Performs all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated pharmacist preceptor
- Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures
- Offers advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health related products and concerns
- Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
- Actively participates in clinical services
