Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a student intern in pharmacy to support ongoing patient counseling, customer service, immunizations and MTM in a progressive pharmacy setting. The role focuses on accurate prescription processing, pharmacist supervision, and enhancing patient care at our Santa Fe site.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a PharmD program, eligible for state intern licensure, and committed to professional growth within a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Must hold a valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Takes steps to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Offers consultation to customers and health care professionals about medications and health products.
• Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability.

• Performs all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated pharmacist preceptor
• Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures
• Offers advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health related products and concerns
• Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
• Actively participates in clinical services

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy
• Must hold a valid state intern license if required by the state of employment
• Ability to readily and positively adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team
