Job summary

Omnicare is seeking a Pharmacy Receiving Support Staff to join the Back End team in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time role supports the receiving and stocking process for long-term care pharmacy services, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficient handling of merchandise.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and at least one year in a pharmacy, retail, or medical setting. Certification/licensure as required by state law is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate receiving equipment and move pallets to storage locations.
• Read put away labels to determine storage location and verify items.
• Transport merchandise to storage areas and stock pallets.
• Count cartons/pallets received and complete purchase orders/worksheets.
• Assist drivers in unloading merchandise and tag pallets with correct numbers.
• Total quantities and complete vendor and freight information on documents.
• Perform DSCSA compliant functions and other duties as required by management.

Join our Pharmacy Support Staff- Back End team with Omnicare and work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering the best customer support.Day In The Life:**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*** Perform all tasks in accordance to OSHA and Facility safety guidelines.* Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted for accurate updating.* Operate receiving equipment to move pallets of merchandise to various storage locations.* Read put away labels to determine storage location of merchandise and verify item is correct.* Transport merchandise from staging area to storage area, using equipment or hand truck.* Accurately count the number of cartons/pallets of each item received.* Accurately complete appropriate purchase order/worksheet for each item received.* Assist driver in unloading merchandise, using power equipment or hand truck. Tag each pallet with correct item number, purchase order number and date received.* Total all quantities and complete general information (vendor name, freight bill number, etc.) on purchase order/worksheet after all items have been received.* Sign driver's freight bill noting overages, shortages, refusals, and damages.* Ability to unload merchandise using power equipment or hand truck, sorting, segregating, and stocking merchandise on pallets with or without assistance.* Perform other duties as required by Supervisor/Management.* Perform DSCSA compliant functions**MARGINAL FUNCTIONS*** Ability to cross-train and perform to standard in various functions as required by Management.* Operate battery changing equipment.**Required Qualifications*** Ability to read and write.* Work overtime as required, in emergency situations or when prior notification is given by management.* *Physical Demands:* This position has an occasional lifting requirement (0-33%).
