Job summary

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, part of Elevance Health, seeks an Authorization Representative I. This hybrid in-office role involves processing and submitting pharmacy prior authorizations, maintaining submission logs, and following up with insurers and physicians.

Location allows 1-2 days in office with some flexibility for commuting distance. Minimum requirement is a HS diploma or GED with at least 1 year of prior authorization experience; CP Tech certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience processing pharmacy prior authorizations or equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Enter re-authorizations into the portal and ensure accurate completion of re-authorization forms.
• Submit completed re-authorization forms to the appropriate insurance plans.
• Maintain log of all re-authorizations submitted.
• Follow up with the patient's insurance company or physician office by phone, email or spreadsheets on all submitted re-authorization for patient approval/denial status.
