Walmart Inc. Pharmacy is seeking a Pre-Grad Intern to join our community-focused team in Waxahachie, TX.

You will gain hands-on experience in patient care, assist with prescription processing, and support efforts to promote customer health and wellness in a fast-paced community pharmacy. You will learn to protect privacy, comply with HIPAA guidelines, and collaborate with pharmacy staff while assisting with inventory and outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• HIPAA/PHI compliance knowledge or training.
• Ability to process prescription orders and assist customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork with the pharmacy staff.
• Willingness to engage in community outreach and patient care initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to Company policies, and local, State, and Federal guidelines.
• Help with processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Deliver patient care by recognizing the patient, assessing their needs, and helping navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.

• Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Excellent ability to foster relationships with customers and pharmacy team.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
