Job summary

Walmart Pharmacy in Alva, OK is seeking a Pre-Grad Intern to support patient care and learn in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment.

You will assist with processing prescription and OTC orders, receive and stock merchandise, and deliver patient care while upholding HIPAA and PHI guidelines. Eligible students enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program gain hands-on experience and benefit from Walmart's comprehensive health, retirement, PTO, and education programs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification is preferred.
• Experience with pharmacy policies and patient privacy guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and records per policies and guidelines.
• Assist with processing prescription and OTC orders.
• Deliver patient care by assessing patient needs and helping navigate therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to Company policies, and local, State, and Federal guidelines.
• Help with processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Deliver patient care by recognizing the patient, assessing their needs, and helping navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.50 - $32.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

• Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
